It's not you, it's us.

We aren't slacking on this blog, we're just busy. I know, excuses, excuses. What's that you say? "But we always see you on Twitter." Sure, because that is just 140 words or less. No commitment.

We do want to talk, listen, share stories, advice, and we need your help. Tell us your tales of being 40-someshit. Love it? Hate it? Ask us questions, about health, sex, love, money/business. If we don't know the answers, we'll ask someone who does.

Hi! I am Aliza's sister and a licensed, naturopathic physician in Portland, Oregon. I am extremely interested in the health trials and tribulations of 40-something women, perhaps because it hits so close to home. Oy.

I hope to share my own personal adventures in 40-something-hood, as well as offer guidance to anyone who is seeking a more holistic perspective on their health concerns.

Okay, here's what is happening:

1. I turned 40 a few years ago and started noticing freaky things happening to me that I could not explain and that nobody would talk about. Until you mentioned to another 40-something friend and we'd both go EWWWWW, yeah, me too.

2. I thought I'd blog about this stuff and then my sister (now in her 40's too - sorry, sis) asked to blog here and she was going to give input based on what she has learned from naturopathic medicine.

3. Then life got in the way and we both have done squat on this blog.

4. Then we mentioned it to a dear friend - Brigitte Bako - who is a fabulous actress/screenwriter/producer who developed a top-rated TV show on Canadian cable TV called The G-Spot.

Now she is developing new projects, and I want to show her the power of social media AND 40-something women using social media. She's pitching her agent, then networks, and we can all be a part of this!

We want to hear from you! We want to hobnob with you! We want to bitch, moan and drink gobs of virtual wine with you!

I don't want to bog my Babyfruit blog down with all my whining about getting old. I figured other women out there are freaking out about the weird things that are happening to them after 40. Can anyone say "Peri-menopause" without cringing?

So I'm going to chronicle my (mis)adventures in 40-someshit women's health. Come ride with me. It won't be fun, but hopefully it will be (at least a little) funny.
